Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a musician, a designer, a university student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college and I am majoring in family and human development. I want to help families and children, and ultimately make a difference in the world. I love music and to create things. I sing all the time and I'm trying to learn guitar and ukulele. I sew and design some of my own clothes. I have recently gotten into experimenting with cooking. Overall, I like to take ordinary or old things and make them into masterpieces.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon in a wonderful family, but I began to really gain a testimony for myself at fourteen years old. When I was fourteen, I read the Book of Mormon by myself for the first time. As I started reading, I felt something. I felt love from my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I never enjoyed reading, but as I read the Book of Mormon, I didn't want to put it down. I also prayed about if it was true and it just felt right, it felt good. Since then, my knowledge of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has grown immensely. I have had so many experience with answered prayers and love from God. I am Mormon because it's what makes me feel the closest to my savior Jesus Christ. I know with out a doubt that my savior is with me and loves me. My faith is what encourages me to be a better person. It has shown me who I am and who I can be. Through it, I can be with my family forever and see my savior one day.

How I live my faith

I try to first live my faith in my appearance. I believe in being modest and having Christ like speech, therefore, I try to show that through my example. I attend church every Sunday and try to attend other activities throughout the week. In addition, I make sure some of the women at church needs are meet and that they have friends at church. I also try to do service projects, one of my favorites is called feed my starving children. At feed my starving children, you get to pack food to send to children over seas and it is a really fun experience.
