Hi I'm Bryson

I am the biggest Utes and Jazz fan you will ever meet and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a missionary in North Carolina for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have three younger brothers who seem to get bigger than me all the time . I am all about playing and watching sports especially basketball, football and soccer. I have so much fun watching a ball game and ballin with the boys. All about the hometown teams! I love being outdoors (camping and fishing) and just spending time with my buddies. I love learning about history especially U.S history. I will be attending college hoping to major in broadcasting/journalism. One of my lifelong dreams is to be a sports broadcaster/journalist particularly college basketball. People tell me I make crazy faces when I talk to people so no offense I might make you laugh but I can't help it.

Why I am a Mormon

This is a question that I get asked a good bit since I have the privlege of being a missionary. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. My testimony always leans back on the Book of Mormon because it is the keystone of my life I get feelings of peace and hope everytime I read it which are things I can't make up. This knowledge led me to know that Joesph Smith was a prophet and that he did restore Christ's Church. This also led me to know that Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior. Yes, I have been a member of this church my whole life but time and time again I have recieved a witness that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I once thought no this cant be all true but something inside me just would never let me believe that. I know God knows I know the truth and I can't deny it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first studying the scriptures daily. By studying scriptures daily I recieve revelation for myself and others. This leads me to follow Jesus Christ because I read his teachings. Right now I am a missionary so I get to share the Gospel 24/7. I share my testimony with everybody I can about this great message so they can enjoy the same happiness I do. The way I live my faith is by standing for what I believe in and act in the way Jesus Christ has commanded me to at all times, all things and in all places which is taught in the Book of Mormon. Even if I have to stand alone in doing so. Including the commandments that are not widely accepted by the world.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries will share the great message about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is our unique message to the world. They will teach and invite others to follow Christ more fully in their lives. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

The definition of a cult is a religion that is unorthodox. Latter-day Saints do not believe in the princple of the trinity which is widely accepted across the christian world. We know Heavenly Father , Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three distinct beings. This leads to the acqusation of Mormonism as a cult. It is just a simple misunderstanding that we dont believe in the same Jesus Christ as they do. We know and teach that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and it is only through Him we can be saved. Those who learn more about the church their attitudes change. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Joseph Smith was seeking the truth. He was confused with all the different churches and wanted to know which church was right. Read the Bible and it told him to pray. At 14 years old, he went to a grove of trees and prayed. He then saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who knew him by name! This started the Restoration of the Gospel. Show more Show less
