Hi I'm Blake

I love being outside. My family is everything. Someday I will complete an Ironman triathlon. I'm Blake and I'm a mormon!

About Me

My name is Blake. I grew up in the great state of Arizona! Born and raised in Mesa, AZ. I recently returned from the great state of North Carolina, serving as a missionary for the church. I love the out-doors. I love camping, Fishing, Shooting guns. I love being around people. I love my Family! I have some rockin' Parents and I come from a family of 5 kids. I have a bunch of little nieces and nephews that rock my socks. I know that the family is an essential part of God's plan for us. Sports are totally rad. I love watching and especially playing sports. I Love to get involved, I believe in helping the community, nation, and World in effect become a better place by getting involved and doing my part. I love music. I dig playing the guitar and listening to good, uplifting music. I am studying to become a dentist.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have felt the Holy Ghost answer my prayers to know if this church was true. I have felt the peace and hapiness that come from living the standards taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Through further study research, and prayer I have come to realize that this is the exact same church that Jesus Christ organized during his mortal ministry. What a stinking amazing blessing!!! I have grown up in the church and I have wonderful parents who I give all the credit to for setting such an amazing example. But I know these things for myself because I wanted to know if what I had been taught all my life was really true. I remember getting on my knees as a teenager, praying to my Heavenly Father and wanting to know the truth. I didn't get my answer right then and there but as I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible daily I have a feeling of peace and comfort that can only come from the Holy Ghost. I know that this Church is true. I know it for myself. And I know it from God.

How I live my faith

Day by day. I try my best to follow the perfect example, Jesus Christ. Of course I fall short and at times that seems overwhelming. But I know that through the Savior I can be made whole. I believe that through consistant right choices I can become what the Lord wants me to be. I believe in following the council of the Lord's servants on the earth today, modern-day prophets and apostles. I love the council of one of our apostles, Richard G. Scott who said, "We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day." Through continual repentace and consistant righteous choices I can improve and pattern my life after Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know if it's true for yourself. I can tell you how much I know it's true until I'm blue in the face, but that won't avail to anything until you find out for yourself. You can follow the council of James found in the bible, in James 1:5. Only through prayer can we come to a knowledge of spiritual truth. Much of the evidence of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints relies completely on the Book of Mormon. For if the book is true, then Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, Joseph Smith is a prophet, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is really true. You can know if the book is true by reading and studying from it's pages, pondering the things in the book (which are all about Christ!), and asking our Heavenly Father in prayer if the book is true or not. I can promise, from my own experience, that God will answer you by the power of the Holy Ghost! It is amazing! Show more Show less
