Hi I'm Jason

I'm a computer analyst for a medical software company. I live in League City Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

They say if you never want to work, do what you love. I've always been endlessly fascinated with computers, and I was lucky enough to find a job doing what I love. I travel the US visiting hospitals and clinics to fix their systems. There are lots of things I like to do when I have precious time at home. Reading, backyard astronomy, enjoying nature and cooking!

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors have been members since the time of Joseph Smith. I am very grateful to the pioneer spirit in my family. Even though I have this background, I still had to come to know for myself that this is the Lords church. I came to my testimony slowly, over lots of study and prayer.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel brings peace and joy to my life. The great plan our Father in Heaven has designed for us gives my life purpose and meaning. I have a sure knowledge of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, so when times are hard or a loved one passes on, I can be at peace. I know I will see that person again. This life is not the end of our existence. No matter what happens to me in my mortal life, I know that God loves me and through the Savior I can find rest and be healed. I find joy serving in the Church and helping others. I love being at church on Sunday and feeling the spirit. I've felt the spirit many times while in a meeting and had an overwhelming feeling that this is where I belong. I know this church is true.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Death of a loved one is always a difficult time, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us solace, comfort and most importantly, perspective. Our lives require us to pass through some milestones, birth, learning to walk, growing up, finding your way in the world. Death is just one of these steps. The loss we feel when someone close to us dies is only temporary. One day, each one of us will pass through that veil. Our loved ones that have passed before us will be waiting for us on the other side. As members of this Church, we believe that families can be together forever. The bonds we have in this life can and do continue into the next life. Someday, we will all be resurrected and our spirit and bodies will be permanently reunited. This is a wonderful gift to all men through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
