Hi I'm Cheryl

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, self-employed, and love to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first heard the teachings of the church, I was looking for a church. The doctrines I heard were in perfect harmony with my own beliefs, although no one had expressed them to me quite so simply and clearly. When I read the Book of Mormon, I received a strong assurance that it was true. I knew that the teachings were in harmony with the New and Old Testaments of the Bible, which I had studied as a youth. I knew so vividly that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, similar to the Bible, that I knew that the amazing story of how it was brought forth had to be true. There was no room for doubt. This firm testimony continues to this day. I had prayed for divine confirmation of the truth, and I received it. I have been blessed to feel the presence and love of my Heavenly Father in my life. I know He loves me. I know that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life to show me how, and he suffered the Atonement to wash away my sins because He loves me. I am striving to align my purposes with the will of my Heavenly Father so I might live with Him again, one day. I struggle, like everyone, to make good choices every day. I know that when I fail, I get to try again, because of the Plan of Happiness, the Good News, the Atonement. I also know that the effort is worth it. Even now, here in this life, I receive blessings for following the teachings of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I have held many positions in the Church: I have taught in the Nursery, taught the 7-8 year old children, I have taught in the adult Sunday School, and in the women's auxiliary, and I have held positions of leadership in both the children's' and the women's auxiliaries. I am currently the Ward Chorister: I get to select the music for our worship services, and I lead the singing.
