Hi I'm Drew Magleby

I have been a Mormon all my life, but I have had and still do have many friends who are not Mormons.

About Me

I love to bike and create things. I enjoy using my artistic skills to help others. I lived in Portland Oregon until I graduated from High School. After that I moved to Idaho for a year, then went on an LDS mission to Campinas Brazil. After that I moved to Provo Utah where I have lived ever since. I return home at least twice a year to visit family and friends and do a little biking in the Northwest. In 2010 I created a company to help turn trash into useful products and I have been busy with the business ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

During Middle School and my early High School years I became very curious of many things about the world. I noticed that many of things about the world are too perfect to be coincidental and I knew there had to be some higher power. I had been taught very well by my parents about the Bible, Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father and every other teaching that comes with a normal Christian upbringing. I started to study hard for myself the teachings of the Jesus and felt that there was a purpose in my life. I felt that I had been given many opportunities and privileges in my life that others hadn't. I decided to use the gifts I had been given, not only the gifts of my friends and family, but also my gifts of talents to help others. As I did so I felt closer to Heavenly Father and could feel His love and gratitude for the direction I choose for my life. So when I asked to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was actually His Church, I felt that same peace and love I had felt before and there was no doubt I was in the right place in my life and I was a part of His Church. As I understand more and more about His Church I feel like I can see things clearer and understand how everything fits together in this world. Material things became less and less important to me and relationships became my drive. I not only wanted to become connected with Heavenly Father but also to my friends and family more. I started to understand why Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness in centered around Families, because that is were the true happiness lies. With those around me. So this is why I'm a "Mormon." Because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church on Earth that has the power and authority to make families eternal.

How I live my faith

I have been in and out of callings in the Church, but my callings are not what I consider the best way I show my faith. I prefer to show my faith in my everyday activities, mainly through being happy. For that is the purpose of life, to have joy. "Adam fell that man might be; and men are, that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 2:25) And the best way to be happy is to follow the commandments. So I try to keep my life as simple as possible, follow the commandments, serve others and be as happy as I can.
