Hi I'm Mike

I am a husband and the father of 4 girls and one boy. Our family loves to ride dirt bikes and be together. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello I am Mike and I am a Mormon, more correctly a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am married to the most wonderful woman and am blessed to be a father to 4 beautiful daughters and 1 great boy! Our family loves to do things together like go camping, ride dirt bikes and hang out together. We have 2 dogs, 2 horses and a cat and live on 3 acres at the base of some beautiful mountains in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe this faith is divine and restored by God through a modern Prophet. I believe that God is no respecter of persons and that his pattern, shown in the Bible, of speaking to prophets on the earth, continues in our day. Through Prophets is how God has always lead his people on the earth and I have sought and prayed for myself to know if this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is God's church on the earth today. He has revealed to me, through his holy spirit, that this his church. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost who can teach each one of us truth as we seek it from our Heavenly Father. As I follow the teachings of the Savior and his church my faith has only increased in the reality of the Atonement and the plan of salvation for all of us. I truly believe that families can be together forever and that we can return and be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through the eternities as we are obedient to the commandments and the gospel plan.

How I live my faith

The Mormon church has a "Lay" ministry, meaning that the leaders of the church are not paid to lead local congregations or perform the work of the church. Recently I was called to be a Bishop of our local congregation called a Ward. Our Ward has about 400 members and I spend about 20 hours a week in my calling. The calling is busy, but it is also a wonderful blessing. My family is very supportive and amazingly I still have time to be with them, they are still my first responsibility. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoy the opportunities that I have had to serve the youth for many years. The church sponsors boy scouts in the United States and scouting serves as a wonderful activity arm for the church. Activity in the church provides wonderful opportunities for service, leadership, fellowship and spiritual growth. My son is now in Argentina serving a 2-year mission for the church and he is loving his experience and the people there, we are excited to see him this coming January when he will complete his mission and come home again.
