Hi I'm Matthew

I'm a self employed Architect. Grew up in Alaska and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Over all I’m an easy going guy who has a lot of things going on. I’m a Building Designer, Entrepreneur and Husband. My wife and I have been married for just over 3 years. Are trying to start a family. We spend a good amount of our time traveling each year and enjoy an adventure. I firmly believes that anyone can achieve their dreams if they so desire. I value adventurousness, openness, assertiveness, trust, confidence and love. I can be outgoing and social yet I prefer casual, intimate situations with close friends. I have experienced many things in life and I always desire to do/try/experience more. I am a hardworking, a fairly well educated, somewhat sensitive and artistic individual who believes that trust and honesty are the keys to life. I’m definitely a non-conformist. I grew up as the oldest child, so I have a strong personality.

Why I am a Mormon

This is certainly a popular FAQ at social functions! Simply, it brings incredible joy to my life. I wake up every-day with peace and hope because of my faith. Some have questioned whether its blind faith, but when you see the amazing good that is done with your faith, see lives change for the better, see the happiness in your family’s life, and your own life, you can’t question it, because you see faith working every day. It is honest, it is true, and it is real.

Life can be hard, but being a Mormon seems to make it that little bit easier, to make better choices, to quickly pick yourself up when you fall, to pray for help, to cherish life and to “come what may and love it”.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is not just a Sunday religion, it is a daily commitment. Mormons live good lives, love family, love hard work, love helping others, love honesty, love prayer, love family history, and most importantly love Jesus Christ, he is the centre of our religion. A wonderful part of the Mormon faith is the belief that we will be together as a family beyond this life, for eternity. This belief gives me even more determination to live my faith daily by being the best husband, brother, son, uncle and friend I can be.
