Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a lifelong learner, a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything that involves learning. When I taught 5th grade, my greatest desire was to teach others how to love learning. It was an exhilarating career, but I left it to learn how to be a better mom. I love learning about history, current events, cooking, gardening, photography, sewing, blogging, painting, building, and creating. Learning to be a mom is the most challenging, yet rewarding aspect of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing that brings greater happiness in my life than living the gospel of Jesus Christ. It teaches me to work hard, have faith, and be charitable. It teaches that we are never alone, that we can communicate with our Father in heaven, and that he answers our prayers. It teaches that miracles occur in our day, that the heavens are open to receive revelation. It teaches that life does not end after death, and that families are eternal. I know these things are true and made possible through Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Because the gospel brings so much happiness to me, I try to bring that happiness to those around me. Every Sunday, my husband and I teach 3 and 4 year olds basic principles of our gospel. I love interacting with them as we share stories from the scriptures and our testimonies. Even though I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I am still continually learning about its principles by reading the scriptures and the words of our Prophet, President Monson. I try to find opportunities to share what I know about the gospel to others, and love answering questions about it.
