Hi I'm Becky Adamson

HI i live in Spokane I am the youngest of 10. I love to sing. I love to play Ultimate Frisbee with friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Becky Adamson. I am 19 and about to serve a mission in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I am attending BYU-I studying Elementary Education. I am the youngest of 10 children and love having a big family. We all have our own views and opinions and I am constantly learning from my family. I love to sing and I love sports. If I am outside I am more than likely having a great time. I love people and I cannot wait to meet so many new people on my mission, but more than anything I cannot wait to share the gift of the gospel with so many friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into an LDS home, but that is not why I am a Mormon today, that is but where the seed was planted. As I have grown up I have continually learned more about the gospel through going to church, family home evenings, seminary, mutual activities, and my own personal study. Because of the work I have put in and the desire to truly know for myself whether this church is true I have learned for myself that this is the one true church on the earth today. I have been so blessed by it's teachings and I know that I have been blessed because these teachings come directly from a loving Heavenly Father. My life has been blessed in innumerable ways because of this Gospel. I know that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me personally. I also know that he has blessed me with absolutely everything that I have and that I am, so I hope to do everything in my power to live with him again someday because I love him. I know that through this gospel and because of the righteous decisions i make throughout my life that I will live with him again and receive a joy that is unimaginable. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and I am a Mormon because I have received a personal witness that this church is true and I know that if you are to search and study and pray as I have that you will also receive a witness from the spirit that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in so many ways. I show my faith from the everyday decisions I make to the ward callings that I serve in. The past two semesters I have served in teaching callings in my ward and I have loved it. I served as the Gospel Doctrine teacher and learned so much. Sharing thoughts and experiences with those in my ward helped my testimony to grow so much. Some ways that I live my faith everyday are by the small choices I make, such as the language I use and the way I dress. Something I have loved about attending BYU-I is that you are surrounded by people with similar standards to you and you are going to class in buildings where the spirit resides. Although I am surrounded by members here you still have to stand for what you know to be true. There are so many people here still finding out for themselves and all of our testimonies continue to grow. But it has made me realize that I must never lower my standards just because "another mormon did it" I must know what is right and not move. Living in Rexburg has reallly helped me with that.
