Hi I'm Patricia

I'm a Mother, Foster Mom, Daughter, Sister, Friend, LMMT and a Teacher. My favorite....being a Mom! :)

About Me

Hi. My dad was in the military when I was born so we (mom, dad and a growing family) moved a few times before he changed careers and settled in Texas. I am the oldest of the five children children they had. Dad died of cancer at a young age of fourty two. Mom has since remarried and now I am the oldest of nine children, her five and his four. I love my mom and both my dad's. I married as a young adult and was blessed with three amazing children that are all grown now and I love them more each day. I am also a foster mom and have been blessed to have more children in my life to love, cherish, and discover life with. I am also a teacher. haha Can you tell I love children. I am also a licensed master massage therapist to I get to help others live healthier lives. I divorced a couple of years ago and that has been a life changing experience all in it's own and without the Lord's love and gospel in my life things would have felt hopeless. I have a lot to be thankful for. I enjoy so much in life: family, learning, outdoors, music, reading, smiling, crafts, dancing, family history, gardening, discovering and so much more. My mom say's I was born with a smile. I know I choose to be happy and it's worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and grandparents and many other family members were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was born. My parents were not always active while I was growing up but I was blessed to have their testimonies of the truthfulness of the gospel and the examples of others around me. When I was old enough, I wanted to know for myself if the gospel of Jesus Christ was true and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was His church. So I prayed, read my scriptures and was blessed to have my own confirmation of the truthfulness of it from the Holy Ghost. My testimony and my love for God grows stronger each day as I live His ways. I am thankful for the Atonement and Redemption of His Son, Jesus Christ, that gives me the chance to return to God faithfully.

How I live my faith

God has given me many oppurtunities to live my faith and be an example to others. I have gotten to be and example for children at home, at school, at church. I've taught classes all ages from infant to adult. I've taught children's gospel classes. I've taught early morning seminary (scripture/gospel study) for youth ages 14-18. I've gotten to teach adult gospel study classes. I have also gotten to teach family history to children, youth and adults at church as well as the local college in their continuing education department. I've taught mini-classes on marriage and family education, crafts, homemaking skills, and fun activities for children and families. I sing and I have gotten to share that talent at church and as a teacher and in extended care facilities and other community events. I've also gotten to participate in a girls camp for youth age as a camp leader and director. I've gotten to help with cub scouts too. I look for ways to serve in my community and can always find ways to do that no matter my circumstances for which I am grateful.
