Hi I'm Mandy

I am single. I am an Architect. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in New Mexico. My father taught my older sisters and I to play stringed instruments. We were a string quartet. I played basketball and soccer in high school, as well as participating in track and field. I served an 18 month mission to Brazil and love all things Latin. I went to school and have become a licensed Architect. I do design work for Universities. I love photography and travel and learning about other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Even as a small child of five, I remember sitting in church and listening to the organ music and the words spoken, and feeling the love of God. My parents read the scriptures to our family and growing up I read them on my own as well. As a young adult facing distressing challenges, I would stay up late at night reading them and looking for answers. I found answers and God spoke to my soul. The light of the gospel has given me perspective. I know who I am, and where I need to go. God has illuminated my path. I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I have felt God's hand in my life in a way that I cannot deny. He answers my prayers. He sends me comfort when I am alone. He puts challenges in my life that I need to grow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying. God is involved in my life. No problem is too small to pray about. He helps me to find my keys. He helps me to remember answers on a test. He helps me have the courage to change. He fills my heart with love and forgiveness for others. I live my faith by attending sabboth church meetings. I am single and so I attend a congregation made up of single adults. I am the housing director which means that I help people to find roommates and places to live. We do cool service projects like putting together higiene kits for disaster relief and raising money to sub for santa for needy families in the community.
