Hi I'm Tori

I am an art student. I am a traveler. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am studying theatre production! I plan to be involved in many different aspects of show business so that someday I can be a great teacher. I grew up in a military family and have lived all over and been blessed with the privilege of knowing all kinds of God's children. I am now serving a full time mission in El Salvador as a way to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and express my willingness to align my heart with his.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church that has the authority and power to act in Jesus Christ's name, and for me that makes all the difference. Jesus Christ is my loving Savior who paid the ultimate price to free me from every pain, guilt, and injustice that life can throw at me. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith, a true prophet of God who had sufficient faith to translate the Book of Mormon (another testament of Christ) and restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of God. I know he really did see Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father and that in reality, they spoke to him and that the church I am a part of is a result of those events. I also know that God loves me and knows me by name, and is ever mindful of me. I can see Him in every part of my life and though I can never begin to repay Him, I can follow His commandments and walk His chosen way. It's the best I can do to thank Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through action. Faith isn't just a feeling, it inspires change in our lives. Every night I like to take an inventory of my day and find areas to improve on. Faith is knowing that as I try to be my best, Heavenly Father will reach my reaching and make me a better person in all areas of my life including school, work, and family. If I am ever complacent with where I am at, that's when I know I am in trouble. Coming to Christ is daily, constant repentance and nothing makes me happier.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is merciful and loving, because He is literally the Father of our Spirits! For this reason, He has a body that is tangible just like ours, the only difference being that His is glorified and perfect. I love this principle because it means when I see Him again, I can give him a hug, just like I would to my earthly father. Show more Show less
