Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a speech-language pathologist. I love writing stories and poems. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college grad and love my first job as a speech-language pathologist. I love baking, crafting, reading, and writing and am teased (lovingly) by my classmates and family members for being something of a perfectionist. I'm married to my best friend. I love my job, my educational opportunities, my family, and my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a household where Christ's love permeated everything we did--even though my family is far from "perfect." My dad pursued his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees while I was little, and my family moved twelve times before I reached my twelfth birthday. During those years, I said good-bye to many friends, but those frequent moves inspired me to develop relationships with my Savior and my Heavenly Father--friendships that are constant, lifelong, and growing. I am so grateful to know my Heavenly Father and to feel His love for me daily, even when things feel hard or I feel disappointed in myself and my shortcomings. The last year has surprised my husband and I with some of life's unexpected challenges, and I have never felt more humbled. My relationships with God and with Jesus Christ have never meant more to me, because there have been times where I know They alone know what I have experienced. I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ--for His love and sacrifice. He knows how I feel about these recent challenges, and He has supported me through them, and I know He will continue to do so. I know that our Heavenly Father loves His children and He wants us to live with Him again and to be happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides us with opportunities to grow closer with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ throughout our lives and also provides us with the opportunity to return to live with Them again.

How I live my faith

My career is in a field that is all about serving others. I am very grateful for the opportunities this field has given me to serve and interact with individuals and their families. Every Sunday, I also have the opportunity to teach young children in church. It isn't always easy, but these children are very sweet and funny. I also leave church with at least one cute story!
