Hi I'm Ken Williams

I'm a husband, father and a retired USAF CMSgt. I enjoy riding my horses, hunting, fishing, and boating. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 30 years of military service, I now work with US Customs and Border Patrol. I received my Bachelors in Science from The College of Great Falls, Great Falls, Mt and my Master in Education from Regis University in Denver, Co. Both of these schools are very fine Catholic universities. My wife, Diane, and I have been married for 39 years and have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. I am a convert to the Church joining while in Basic Training with the Air Force just prior to my 21st birthday. I have 2 horses that I enjoy riding. Last December while riding in the Sonoran Desert I came to the realization that I have ridden my horses in the wilderness of Utah, Montana, Colorado, in Texas and in Arizona. That's a lot of territory.

Why I am a Mormon

When Diane and I decided to get married, I began to look at her religion. I felt it was important to raise children in a single religion family. At that time, I believed in God and in Jesus Christ, however, I saw nothing good in an "organized" religion. I read the Book of Mormon, researched Joseph Smith and read the Old and New Testament and some other good books coming to the conclusion that Joseph Smith, Jr was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon was an inspired work of God. Since that time, I have continued to study and to test the principles of the gospel as I have come to know them. I am grateful for the principles of gospel so well defined in the Articles of Faith for they have allowed me to enjoy great happiness

How I live my faith

I have found great happiness in the service of others. I enjoy helping where I can. Over the years my family and I have worked with flood victims in Texas, on Church farms in Montana, Texas, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. I have taught the gospel in many locations in various Sunday School programs. I have served in leadership capacities for many years finding that my faith has increased as I served. My wife and I served for over 2 years as missionaries working with the Addiction Recovery Program within the Church.
