Hi I'm Suzanne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm first a woman! I'm married to my best friend. I'm a mom of five. They are all married and so my husband and I are empty-nesters. I'm a Grandma and have 11 - almost 12 grandlittles with the oldest being 5 yrs. old. I am a musician by trade. I love jazz music. I sing with a jazz orchestra and a jazz quartet. I play the piano for local high schools and have just started back with private lessons at the university. That is going to prove to be quite a challenge for me. I'm excited and anxious to learn more about playing an instrument that I love and adore.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. When I was a youth I simply followed what my parents and grandparents did. We went to church. We followed the teachings of the Gospel. That was why I WAS a Mormon. Now? I'm a Mormon because I believe it. I've seen the blessings in my life from following the teachings of the Gospel. As we raised our family, we began to see what a difference it made in their lives. I like to call it 'stacking the deck'. I found that living the principles taught in our church and teaching them to my children 'stacked the deck'. It started them on a solid foundation. I am a Mormon because I believe that my family can truly be forever. I will be married forever to my husband. My children will be with me forever. My grandlittles will be with me forever. I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our church. I love to see the Gospel take a hold of them and work miracles. I have seen young women discover and then believe that they are truly daughters of God. They take a hold of that knowledge and make solid choices for the good. I watch the young women of our church serve with hearts of gold. I watch them choose to be chaste and virtuous. I watch them make goals to learn about faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity, and virtue. In the Young Women's program they learn about these values and set goals within each of them. They come to truly know themselves. They come to truly know their Savior. I see them be truly happy.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

A husband and wife can be together forever. It goes beyond this life. Our family will be together forever. It's one of the sweetest blessings of my life. Show more Show less
