Hi I'm Geralynn

Hi, I’m Geralynn. I’m a devoted wife and mother, a cancer survivor, a care-giver and a budding quilter.

About Me

My favorite titles are wife to a terrific guy, mother of 6, and grandmother of 17. I love helping people. I worked for a time as a speech therapist but I have loved being at home to raise my children. Family is very important to me and I am glad to be available to aid our aging parents and spend time with our darling grandchildren. I also love my morning walks, sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

Why I am a Mormon

There is so much peace from the understanding I receive because of my faith. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who knows me, supports me and loves me. He sent his Only Begotten Son as the greatest gift to mankind. In addition to the Holy Bible, we have the Book of Mormon and modern prophets which teach us the Lord’s high standards and sacred covenants which I hold dear. In our church we are committed to making daily, marked progress in our individual lives as we exercise our individual and free agency to choose the right. When I fall-short, I’m grateful for a forgiving God who can strengthen me and support me in my trials as I try to do a little better each day. In 2006 I was diagnosed with cancer and battled it for a year with the dear companionship of a great husband and family. While my faith sustained me during the dark days, it mostly gave me a great peace and feeling of intense gratitude for all that the Lord has given me.

How I live my faith

I try to show my love for the Lord by reading his words, keeping his commandments, and serving others as he would do. It is a joy to help others learn of Him as well. I love teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ and applying the scriptures to our modern lives. .
