Hi I'm Kolton

I love the gospel, my family, football, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended Southern Utah University before I began serving my mission in the great Texas San Antonio Mission. I love playing the game of football. It brings a thrill that can't be found anywhere else. I was greatly blessed to be able to play my freshman year at SUU as a Thunderbird. As a college student, I learned quickly that priorities would have to play a big part of my life. I began to list off a bunch of things that mattered to me and at the end of the day, my priority list looked like this: 1) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2) Family/Friends 3) Academics 4) Football All things have order and without order things are chaotic. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. He leads us and guides us today just has he has in the past. Our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is called of God to lead us today. This truth I am thankful for and forever will be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised of "goodly" parents who taught and showed me the way to happiness. They were always there and by my side no matter what. They constantly encouraged me and helped me progress in my testimony. I can clearly remember while growing up waking up early every morning to read scriptures as a family. We read the entire Book of Mormon in one year, reading only a few chapters a day. This experience is special to me. I was able to connect with my family on a much higher level than I ever could have doing anything else. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It truly does improves lives. I prayed, I listened, and I learned from the Holy Ghost that the Church is true.

How I live my faith

"Be thou an example of the believers…" This is one of my favorite scriptures. Everyone is watching, even when you don't know that they are. Everything that I do is based on living the gospel 100% all the time. Whether it is service projects, serving a mission, being an example, just being me is how I live my faith. Becoming the very best that I can become…. that is living my faith. I love that happiness which comes from it!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kolton
All worthy and able young men are called to serve missions. Do they have to go? No, it is their personal choice if they feel worthy and if they have a sincere desire to serve the Lord or not. As for young women it is not required that they serve, but their presence in the mission field has an extreme effect on missionary work. Their service is welcomed by the church. Show more Show less
