Hi I'm Dean

I am a musician, writer, media producer and innovator. I live a very exciting and active life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I am a dad... father of eleven children whom I love and admire. I love being in the outdoors - hiking, running, walking, backpacking and camping. I rarely go anywhere without a camera and a note pad, as I'm always looking for fresh input and ideas and I just never know where and when my next inspiration will come from. My current passion is media creation - music, stories, blogs, short films and photography. Several of my children share my passion, which gives me common ground with them. My wife says she is my "biggest fan" which helps to keep the passion alive. I have been blessed with many gifts and talents and it's sometimes an overwhelming challenge just to keep up with all the dreams I want to pursue. My desire is to find my niche in the world of media and to use these to bless the lives of my family members and many others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family where values were taught and cherished. My parents became active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints while I was at an early age and I have participated in church activities ever since. I have lived in numerous locations throughout the country and have always found an anchor of faith in the church. The Holy Ghost has been a constant witness that the teachings of the church are true and the prophet and apostles that the Lord has called as witnesses are His mouthpiece. I find peace in the teachings of Jesus Christ and I find comfort in knowing that my family can be together... forever.

How I live my faith

I've had many opportunities to work with young men and women as well as adults. I am a Cub Scout leader and I also teach gospel lessons at church on Sunday. I feel that these opportunities have allowed me to learn more than I would have being a participating student. I visit with families to share beliefs and to help strengthen them.
