Hi I'm Jane

I'm a mother of four beautiful children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to four fabulous children ages 14, 11, 9 and 2. Our youngest was born two months premature weighing only two pounds and spent a month in the NICU. I love martial arts, reading, music, going to Renaissance Fairs and watching movies. I have been playing the flute since I was 11-years-old. I am currently a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I love working with martial arts weapons mainly the Korean sword and long staff. Our family practices martial arts together and they are also black belts with the exception of my youngest. I love the discipline and challenge of learning martial arts and doing it together as a family. I love learning. Although much of my time is spent home with my children, I teach them the importance of gaining an education especially my daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but my parents encouraged me to gain a knowledge and testimony of the gospel for myself. I have prayed to know for myself and know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. I read it every day. I know that if I follow the commandments and live righteously I will live with my husband and children for eternity. I know the Lord answers our prayers. I know that we have modern day prophets and apostles that continue to receive revelation. We are all spirit children of our Heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and through his atonement we can repent of our sins. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

The gospel has taught me the importance of serving and I try to serve others and my community on a daily basis. I am currently part of a community orchestra that provides free concerts to the public. I love sharing my love of music with others. I have also played in church, local nursing homes and hospice centers. I have seen how music can soothe and give comfort to those in difficult times. I am also the team coordinator for a meals on wheels team. Serving the elderly in our communities is so important and I often bring my children with me so that they may learn to serve others. I work with the Boy Scouts in my church. I also visit four sisters each month and take care of any needs they have. I love visiting and getting to know the women in my church. I also volunteer time at my children's school helping in the classroom or on field trips. When we serve others we become more like our Savior.
