Hi I'm Shellee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and Registered Nurse. I have been very happily married for 27 years to a wonderful man who is a police officer. I was a dental assistant and then a stay at home mom who raised 4 children. After the events of 9/11 I felt inspired to go back to school and become a nurse. I had never thought of nursing as a career choice for me, but it is what I was born to do. I am a hospice nurse and I feel blessed and honored to be able to take care of those who are nearing the end of their life here on this earth. Favorite things: dates with my husband, long talks with my children, playing with my grandchildren, family work projects and taking naps.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I have always felt blessed that I belonged to and was a member of Christ's Church. The teachings and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints help me to be a better person. Of course I have had struggles and difficulties in my life as we all do, but following Jesus Christ and his gospel keeps me on the path of happiness. I realize that the things that we have to endure in this life are hard but will be but a moment. As we die and pass through the doorway of death we will all joyfully meet our Savior again and as families we can live for eternity with him - if we will but follow him.

How I live my faith

I try to stay involved in community and humanitarian projects that benefit those in need. My husband and son are Eagle Scouts so I try to assist other boys who are in the scouting programs in our community. Scouting is a wonderful way to help boys become responsible young adults. I help with the music program in our ward and my husband and I love to get to know others in our neighborhood by hosting block parties and giving service when a neighbor or friend is in need.
