Hi I'm Scott

I Love my Family, I Love food, And I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado. enough said. I guess i just love it that much. My parents were divorced when i was younger, so i have many sisters and step-brothers and step-sisters and you get the idea. I love the big families i came from becuase more people=more fun. I got my love of sports from my dad, and my love of the outdoors from my grandparents. My mother taught me by example never to let someone feel alone. Everyone needs a friend. Maybe im ignorant, but big screen tv's and PS3's dont appeal to me becuase they pull you away from things that are really fun. Im happy when i snowboard, long board, wake board, and any time im outside. I love to be happy and have a good attitude, but sometimes that means i goof off too much. i guess im a work in progress...

Why I am a Mormon

Life is too difficult to do on your own. I need help from God. During my life, when I put God as the first priority, I feel happy and satisfied with life. One day in college i faced a crossroads: I had to choose God's way, or my way. I had bills to pay, and money set aside for God. I knew that if I gave 10% of my money to God, He would help me out, but i could not see how it would work. Also I did not want to donate to a church i was not fully committed to. At that time I decided to give my all to God. I committed fully to the Lord's church and paid my tithing money. I have never looked back on that decision. It seems like a small decision, but it was a turning point in my life. Starting from then i focused every day on changing the bad habits out of my life. The more bad habits i got rid of the happier i was. I know that this happiness came from my baptism into God's church, from reading the book of mormon and the bible, and from my sincere prayers. This is fact. There is no doubt. I want you to try it: give the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a sincere shot. It will change your life.

How I live my faith

I help people come closer to Christ every day as a full time missionary for the Church. I study God's word every day. I seek to remember God every day and devote one day to him each week. I give to the poor. I strive to keep my thoughts clean and my words clean and my actions clean. As missionaries, we sit down with people and help them understand God's will, and help them build strong spiritual habits. I have made great friends in this part of my life. I have no job, so from 6:30am to 10:30 pm all my thoughts and actions go toward helping people. I do not get as much sleep as i need, becuase i am so busy in this work. It is worth the effort. I will not do this full time for the rest of my life, but i've been doing it so long it seems normal. When i move back to Colorado i will finish college and continue to follow God by living right and helping others.
