Hi I'm Jodi

I'm a stay at home mom, a professional makeup artist, A health nut, a wife, daughter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mommy to one beautiful baby girl and we are expecting our second baby come early 2013 -For 8 years I worked as a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown cosmetics and worked at Saks Fifth Ave. in Tampa FL. My love for srt was passed down through my moms mom who was an incredible painter. My mom also followed in her moms footsteps and took the direction of becoming a hairstylist after high school. I have such great memories growing up and watching my mom cut, perm, and style clients hair as she worked in a salon that was attached to our childhood home. She knew how to multi task being a stay at home mom and working from home as a hairstylist :) I always loved art class and was always labeled as "creative" but growing up a tomboy I never expected to find my passion in the art of makeup and the art of transforming the way woman look and more importantly feel about themselves.. I was so very lucky to meet my soul mate in 2007 just shortly after coming back to church.. we say it was fate the way we met and the way we were drawn together... He treats me like a princess everyday and I feel so loved by him.. I fall deeper and deeper in love with him each new day and I'm so excited to share this journey of life and parenthood with him.. I LOVE staying home with my daughter and love being able to watch her grow and see all the neat things she learns everyday... I'm so happy our family has been sealed for all time and eternity in the Lords house....

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of this church and know it's teachings are true... I get an overwhelming feeling when I hear specific teaching and I know without a doubt that the words I'm reading or hearing are true. Everything the church stands for and teaches all results in a happier and healthier you. Our world is pretty toxic and I am thankful to have my eyes opened to the pure truth and have a santuary to escape to when I feel confused. There is so much to learn about the church and I feel more and more interested in searching and sharing more about it especially to my children... I want them to have a fighting chance in this world and I feel that if they are equipped with the knowledge the church teaches us that they will lead incredible happy lives...who doesn't want that for there family? I was born into this faith... but As I hit my late teens I decided not attend church anymore.. I lived my life in ways I shouldn't have, and as a result I was very unhappy with myself and with others around me. When I turned 25 I found my way back to church and have since married the most incredible man and had a perfect baby girl and I am now Happy :)!

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by attending as many church meetings/activities as I am able to... Sunday is always a day of rest for our family and it truly is the day we recharge our batteries. I am serving in my wards Young Woman's organization teaching the Beehive class (12 year old girls) It's such a wonderful experience to work with these girls and I find myself learning just as much if not more from preparing the lessons I teach each week :) I also live our faith by reading my scriptures (working on this one) and doing family and personal prayers daily. I feel I remember these things that our family and myself function better in everyday life.
