Hi I'm Alyssa

My goal in life is to become a crime scene investigator and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am a pretty average college student. I am a sophomore at Weber State University, studying Forensic Investigation. I have wanted to be a CSI since I was in fifth grade and now am only 3 years away from reaching my dream. When I am not studying or in class I work at Chick-Fil-A as a manager. This keeps me busy and moving on my feet, which is my excuse for not working out on my days off! On my days off I like to read, and you can't guess what my favorite type of book is, oh yeah, murder mystery baby! I book isn't good unless someone gets hurt, I know some people say I'm weird. But to overcome my weirdness I equal it out with my love for music. A song can change the way you look at the world from one moment to the next. So many messages are enhanced with a simple melody underneath beautiful words. Music is the answer to so many prayers and is the comfort to my soul. Life has it's ups and downs but through music and my family, we make it through and try to keep a smile on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a mormon, and continue to be a faithful mormon. The church gives me to much comfort and a relief from everything that happens just outside my bedroom door. It's the knowledge that everything will be okay, and that the Lord cares about who I am, where I am, and what I am doing and what I want to be doing. He holds my hand through the hard times and watches closely by when I am not willing to take it. I do not know where I would be without the knowledge and the comfort that I have felt because of this religion. I know who I am, where I came from, and what I am supposed to be doing. I would not trade this feeling and knowledge for anything. My faith has rescued me from the dark edges that try to take you over and consume your every being. He is there and will always answer for those who call out his name and reach for his hand. I know this gospel is true, and I will continue to be a mormon forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I try to show what I believe through my actions. I try to allow others to feel the love God's feels for them. I am just me trying to show others the way they could feel the way that I feel because I have the lord on my side. I live my faith by being faithful to the one who created me and created this beautiful world around me.
