Hi I'm Stephanie

I've been a member all my life. I work in the meat dept in a grocery store, I raised 3 sons by myself and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Stephanie. I grew up in So. Calif. and lived in West L.A., Tujunga, and then moved to No. Calif. in 2002. I met my husband thru my brother Matt who was in his ward in Spokane. It was tough moving away from all my family, but when Spokane isn't cloudy, it a beautiful place to live. My husband and I both have 3 kids. We enjoy ATV riding, crusing in his 68 firebird and just hanging out together. I have 3 sons, who all have served missions and have or are going to college. They are my pride and joy, along with my 2 grandkids and my daughter in law. I work at a grocery store in the meat dept. I love playing the guitar and walking for exercise. My passion right now is remodeling our house and watching DIY network on t.v. I love the satisfaction of finishing and room and beautifying my home. I wished my kids lived closer, but since they don't, we keep busy by hanging out with other empty nesters. I'd like to say our lives are slowing down, but I'd be lying if I did. It's okay to be busy, it keeps us mentally young and interesting.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life. During my upbringing, I never had some major event or revelation that told me the Mormon church was true. but it was thru going to church, reading the scriptures, praying and living the Lords commandments that my testimony of the gospel grew. I went to seminary, where I really grew to know and love the scriptures. In the scriptures, you can find answers and comfort to any problem. Many times have I read the scriptures, even something that has nothing to do with a problem I may be having, when the thought was put in my head by the holy ghost of what I needed to do to solve my problem. I feel so grateful for all the many, many times that the Lord has helped me thru my stuggles. I try to write them all down in my journal (Because my memory is lousey and I don't want to forget all the times I've been blessed) I am so grateful that I didn't have to be out there searching for the right church. I'm so grateful that I was born into it.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings in our church. Everytime I get comfortable with a calling, the Lord calls me to something else. I've been a chorister for the choir, for the jr. sunday school, i've taught the youth, adults, been a missionary, been a leader in the womens organiztion, to mention a few. Thru these callings I have grown. He wants me to grow and learn as much as I can to help build his kingdom on earth. I try to live as a Christian should. I try to see clean movies, not cuss, keep the sabbath day holy, serve people (doesn't matter if their Mormon or not) and just try to be the best and most cheerful person I can be. It is truly my honor to serve the Lord. it's the least I could do after he suffered and died for my sins'
