Hi I'm Amanda

I live in Colorado. I love photography. I love trying new foods. I enjoy running and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently graduated high school in the year 2014. I have completed a spring semester up at BYU-I and also a semester at my local community college. I am so excited to say I am preparing to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I have done wedding photography with my Aunt and have now taken up photography as a hobby. I love, love, love, going to new places and trying new foods. I really enjoy running and going places that cars can't take me. I also love nature and the outdoors. However, despite all of these activities, I most of all enjoy time spent with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

From the day I was born to now, I have been raised a Mormon. Despite the fact I was born into the Mormon faith, does not mean I feel obligated or forced to live as a Mormon. I have made the choice to be a Mormon. Throughout my life I have had to go through good and bad days in order to gain a testimony of what I believe and why I believe it. I am a Mormon because I have seen how happy my life is when I follow the teachings taught. This gospel has the power to bring so much joy into one's life. It gives me hope that I can one day return to Father in Heaven without regrets. It gives me direction, helping me choose right from wrong. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me and knows me, along with all His other children. This gospel has helped me understand that we are all imperfect and that it is our purpose to make our imperfections strengths. I know and believe the words of the prophets are true. I know that The Book of Mormon is another testament of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ died upon the cross so that me and everyone else can repent every time we fail. Our Savior will always help us up and will never leave us. I know I can turn to God for anything and He will care and listen. I am so grateful to be a Mormon. My faith is the reason why I am who I am.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there isn't a day that goes by where I don't live my faith. Each Sunday I go to church for three hours. Within two of those hours, I teach children between the ages of six and seven. I am also a Cub Scout leader over the Bear den, where we meet at our church building every Wednesday. I am a visiting teacher to two wonderful women who I am pleased to know. These are many of the ways I am involved within in my church.
