Hi I'm Rachel

I'm definitely a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Social Work and I love to be involved! I love the great outdoors and I enjoy playing the piano, running, laughing, singing, and serving. I also like meeting new people and learning new things! I served a mission in Seoul, South Korea.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true! Being a member of the church gives me a sense of peace, purpose, and direction in my life I would not otherwise have. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have felt the truthfulness of that great book. I have received many blessings in my life from simply being obedient to the words of the prophets. One example of this is keeping the Sabbath day holy. By setting this day aside as a day to worship God and I gain incredible peace and strength which sustains me throughout the week. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ which carries me through the trials of life and provides hope in any circumstance. I know there is hope in this life only because of the Lord Jesus Christ and I know He lives. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I'm a child of God and this keeps me going.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my life to the fullest and choosing to be glad. I love to share the joy this Gospel brings me and I find great joy in service. I'm a visiting teacher and with a companion I have the fantastic opportunity to go out and visit other local sisters or members of the ward each month to share a message with them and to talk with them. I really enjoy this time. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to serve as a nursery leader in my ward. In this calling, I have been able to share my talents and interact with many sweet little children. My family reads the scriptures and has family prayer everyday. Family is everything to me. I try my best to set a proper example for my eight younger brothers and sisters. I want them to have the same joy and peace I feel by living the gospel in their own lives. I'm fortunate enough to live right by a Temple. Temples are houses of the Lord. I like to attend the Temple to serve and feel the Holy Ghost. I also feel the Spirit throughout the day as I take the time to read the scriptures and pray daily. I try my best to always remember Jesus Christ. Through patience and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I am able to grow and improve everyday. My main goal is to remain humble and teachable throughout my life so I can continue to improve and know how to better my own life and the lives of those around me.
