Hi I'm Isaac Malmstrom

I'm a missionary serving in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. I love my Redeemer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up LDS all my life. Though like many other members, I didn't always have my own testimony. I studied the scriptures and I prayed but I never felt like I had a knowledge of the gospel for myself. I went through my schooling years safely, never doing anything bad. I stuck up for my beliefs but looking back on it now, I never had my own testimony of what it was that I stood up for. In January of 2015, I went on my mission to serve the blessed people of the South. Ever since I've been down here, I've grown in the gospel and in testimony of my Savior more than I could've ever grown back home. I've learned that in order to truly help others gain their own testimony of Christ and his teachings, I need to gain my own. My testimony of the Atonement that Christ made for every single one of us is still growing, that through Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ has restored his church, and that Heavenly Father loves all of us are still growing. But I do know that those testimonies are my own and I have my Father, who is in Heaven, to thank for them.

Why I am a Mormon

By having grown up in an LDS atmosphere, I have had no problem being able to look around me for examples of kind, happy and blessed people that follow the example and commandments of Christ. But just as all do, I've grown making mistakes and feeling the sorrow and regret that comes with them. Yet, because of those trials and hardships, I've been able to further my understanding of Jesus Christ and His Atonement and how he took my pains, temporal and spiritual, upon himself so that I could seek the the forgiveness and change that I wanted and learn how to better myself by following the perfect example he has given all of us. By learning and building my faith in my Savior, I've learned how no matter who you are and where you are, he loves us and wants us to seek him out. He wants to help us become better and happier.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I've lived in areas where non-Latter-day Saints outnumber Latter-day Saints. So I've have grown up with many different personalities, cultures and faiths. Because of these circumstances, I've grown up learning to love all that I encounter, no matter where they're from or who they are now. I've learned to love everyone because we are all children of our Heavenly Father and we should all help one another in learning to grow our faith in and of Jesus Christ and by helping everyone to keep his commandments, we can all receive that chance to live with our Father in Heaven.
