Hi I'm Kim

I am a mother of three and a mother-in-law to one. I am a lover of books. I am a giggler, thus a snorter. And I am Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother. My whole life I wanted to be a mother. I feel very blessed to have a son and two daughters that make me laugh and are a strength and support to me and each other. I am the sole supporter of my family and am grateful for my education and the rich blessings I have received from my Heavenly Father to find a way to carry on even when life hasn't turned out exactly as I had hoped or planned.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years old, my mother passed away suddenly leaving my father to raise 3 girls. I was the oldest. Within months of my mother's passing, the missionaries came to our door and shared a wonderful truth that we didn't know about. They said our family could be together forever, and shortly thereafter we were baptized. My testimony of families is strong. My belief in the plan of salvation is even stronger. I wanted to be a part of a church that valued families, held strong moral beliefs that didn't change with the passage of time, and that would provide me a framework to raise my family.

How I live my faith

I have always loved teaching children and have found my most enriching learning moments to be when I am serving with the youth. They inspire me and keep me young. I am continually amazed at the strength of the youth in our current time. They are valiant. They strive to make a difference. They don't compromise their values. They try to be obedient and yet unique in their own way. As I serve the youth, they are a testimony to me of what the Savior said in the New Testament... "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." As I strive to become better each day, I look to the example of my children and the children I am surrounded by.
