Hi I'm David H

I'm a chemical engineer, manufacturing business consultant, husband and a Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy shooting tactical steel matches, (IDPA, USPSA, etc.). I serve my community through volunteering (scouting, church service, etc.). My wife and children are important to me, and that colors my actions and choices (where we live, what we do, how we plan for the future).

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon with an open heart to know if it was true. When I prayed with real intent, desiring to know if it was true, I received a confirmation in my heart from the Holy Ghost that it is true scripture. At that point you cannot sit on the fence. You either have to live what you know is true, or spend the rest of your life fighting God and yourself "kicking against the pricks".

How I live my faith

I serve as a counselor (confident and assistant) for the Bishop of our congregation of ~370 people (Ward). That keeps me pretty busy on Sundays, Tuesday evenings, and most Saturdays. I spend an evening each week visiting one of 4 families in my neighborhood assigned to me to "watch over" and assist. I do my best to provide love, support, a helping hand, or advice to help them in the trials or joys of life.
