Hi I'm Marie

I'm a mother of four married to my best friend. I dream of seeing the world and making a difference. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah but since getting married we have lived in Louisiana, Iowa, and Idaho. It wasn't until I moved away from my family and really established my own that I learned who I am and how watchful the Lord is of His children. I love to sing, act, take photographs, quilt, read, cook, travel, and eat chocolate. I have four beautiful children and though parenthood can be a challenge, it is worth it. I love going through life with my sweet husband and hope to always be learning new things. I am currently trying to learn to play the banjolele.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, I had to gain a testimony of my own. I remember reading the scriptures as a teen and going to the Lord in prayer. I can't say my testimony came as a single event, rather it came line upon line, until I knew without a doubt that the things I had been taught were true. Jesus Christ is our Savior. The Book of Mormon testifies of Him and His divine mission. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know that because he loves me, and each of His children, that he has provided a way for us to return to live with him. I am so grateful that He gave us the gift of families and that through the power of the restored priesthood it is possible for us to live together eternally.

How I live my faith

I am the choir director in our ward. I have always loved music and find it a thrill to be able to choose and rehearse songs that testify of the Savior. I never feel my testimony burn as brightly as it does when I am singing. It draws me closer to Him.
