Hi I'm Zachary Lloyd

I'm a full time college student, studying pre-med. I'm happy and I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im currently 22 years old. I live in a family of only sisters. you might think that is tough but my sisters are the best. I love spending time with my family. I am a full time college student. I have come to love school and love to learn. I do tend to study a lot but if you are going to do something, you better give it your best effort. I love to play sports and often play basketball or tennis. I am currently learning the guitar and find music to be a very important part of who I am. I love the outdoors, especially the mountains. Im not married yet but do have lots of fun going on dates with great girls. My senior year in high school i blew out my knee in football and have found that along with a two year mission in Portugal to be the two most important learning experiences I have had thus far in my life. I look to the future with faith and try to live each day to the fullest and with a smile making sure to put a smile on someone else's face as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am thankful for my Parents. They are the two biggest examples in my life. They are full of love and are so selfless. I credit them for who I am today. I have always found the happiest i could be was when i was choosing the right and listening to my parents council. I have seen the other end of the spectrum in my life. I have seen the sadness, emptiness, and confusion of friends and families who do not abide by the teaching of The Church of Jesus Christ. The commandments were giving to us by a loving Heavenly Father for our benefit. Living the gospel individually and as a family brings happiness. Everlasting happiness. This i know. In high school some of my best friends (they still are today) didn't think highly of this church or the prophet Joseph Smith. Time after time i stood alone to defend a church and a man. I knew little about the life of Joseph Smith and the man he was. I did, however, read the Book of Mormon. I had prayed many times of the truthfulness of that book. I thought i had never received a sure witness of the truthfulness of the book. I was wrong. I didn't know i had a burning testimony of the restoration of this church by Jesus Christ through the young prophet Joseph Smith. Until I was left defenseless before my friends and all I knew to do was bare my Testimony of the things I knew. It was till after the trial of my faith that i received a witness. As i did then, I do now. I know this is the true church of Christ upon the earth today.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of a young single adult ward in my area. I attend, when possible, the activities we have during the week. We usually will do something every monday and thursday. During the week while I am at school i also take time out of my day to attend an LDS Institute class. I love institute and find that to be a helpful break between my other classes. In my yard I am a sunday school teacher and have learned so much preparing the lessons and learning from the comments the members make in class. We are studying the New Testament this year. I love church and look forward to it each week. Its so important to me to truly live by the teachings of the Gospel each day. To talk with my Heavenly Father throughout the day by the way of prayer and receive answers to my prayers by studying the scriptures. Living my Faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has blessed my life and made me happy.
