Hi I'm Ariel

I'm a senior in high school. I'm a Texan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in high school this year and am also working part time at a public library near my house. I hope to be leaving on my mission soon and then go on to college (still haven't figured out which one). I love photography, baking, and sculpture as well as most sports,

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the love and sense of purpose that growing closer to God gives me. It makes me want to live up to the potential the He sees in me and makes me believe that I can. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and every time I read it I draw closer to Christ. I'm a Mormon because it gives me the opportunity to be part of an eternal family and to be perfected in Christ through His atonement. I feel extremely blessed to have been raised in this church and want to share the love and joy that it has given me with others.

How I live my faith

Every morning before school I attend seminary for about an hour and study the scriptures, we're learning about the new testimony this year. My family has Family Home Evening every Monday night, we eat out meals together and afterwards we read a scriptures as a family. I love reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible and learning more about the gospel.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Ariel
Science. I am a complete science fanatic. The most common argument that I have heard against the existence of God is science. For me it merely reaffirms the beliefs that I already have. Even the existence of intelligent life seems to shout out that it was made by the hand of God. If evolution was left entirely up to chance then why has only one species managed to develop as far as our own? If natural selection "created" us why didn't it also allow other animals to develop into anything even remotely as intelligent as us? How was the earth positioned so carefully as to allow the development of an atmosphere in which we can breath and at a distance in which we neither freeze or burn? All of these things infer that there is a God, but I know that He is because of the prompting of the spirit which He gives me and because of the blessing that He gives me in my life.
