Hi I'm Alexa

I have a passion for horses and photography, I love meeting new people and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and I hardly ever dwell on the negative side of things. I'm crazy and outgoing which is why I love to step outside of my comfort zone and meet new people. I love everything about the outdoors and the many activites such as rock climbing, skiing, swimming, hiking, rafting and fishing. I grew up with a passion for horses and used to be a show jumper. I also enjoy dirt biking in my spare time, as well as hanging out with friends, writing and playing with my little siblings. I want to be a photographer when I grow up and my wild dream is to be a photojournalist for the National Geographic magazine. I hope to go to college at either Utah State in Logan or BYU Provo. I love traveling; I've been to Spain, France, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica, mostly to practice my spanish speaking skills and learn about other cultures. I've been on my school's yearbook staff all four years I have been in high school. My dad died when I was 13 years old and ever since then, I have become a stronger person.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it keeps me safe in the world we live in today. Each day, I experience surroundings of bad language, immodesty, inappropriate media and immorality. By knowing the standards of the church and choosing to live by them, I know that it will be easy to say "no" to any bad situation that I am faced with. I don't have to be worried about whether I am making good or bad decisions because I have my standards. I also choose to be Mormon because I know that I can see my dad again someday. Being Mormon helps me to stick out among the crowd and draw people's attention because I am not doing the same things as them. Being a Mormon helps gives me a direction and purpose in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through prayer and scripture study. I have also been going to seminary every morning for the past four years. I go to church every Sunday and most of the Young Women activites. I love watching General Conference two times a year and hearing what Heavenly Father has to say to us and he does so by speaking through our leading prophet today. I am also on the Stake Youth Committee so I help plan the activites when the boys and girls are combined. I am also a missionary to my friends and love sharing the gospel, inviting friends and non-members to church activites, answering questions that people have, and going to the temple.
