Hi I'm Leah

I love to eat bananas, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19-year-old youngin' that enjoys being around people. I'm a student at BYU-Idaho. My family and friends are seriously the best ever. I'll do anything to get a game night or movie marathon going. I love playing and watching sports. Music is a huge part of my life, especially the piano! I have a patient mom that put up with teaching me for 13 years. One of my favorite words is "peace". I love to sit back, relax, and take in the beauty of the earth. I stay out of drama and love being with people that have a wicked sense of humor. I've been told I have an unlimited supply of facial expressions...probably not always a good thing! Religion is so important to me. Having a firm foundation of faith in Christ keeps me moving forward everyday no matter how hard things get.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being a Mormon has brought me more happiness than anything else. I know that because of Christ's Atonement, I can turn to Him at all times. I'm never alone. My prayers to God bring me peace and comfort. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. After I was baptized, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has been a guide, a comforter, and resource of peace in times of trial. God blessed me with a wonderful family that loves and supports me. He has also put many good people and friends in my path. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me with limitless help, love, and happiness. I can't imagine what I'd do without knowing I have a loving Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ, Holy Ghost, family, and friends to boost me up when things get hard. There's no doubt in my heart that this church is true. It is clear and simple and unchangeable. It's a source of light that I'm grateful for, especially living in a chaotic world. As I've gotten older, I've focused not only on WHAT the church is but HOW I feel when I live its teachings. There's no better way to live than to follow Jesus Christ's example.

How I live my faith

Since Jesus Christ is the center of my faith, I do the best I can to follow His example. I try to love and serve those around me and remember that each person is a son or daughter of God. I study the scriptures and pray for strength and guidance. I attend church each Sunday and fulfill the callings I receive, like being a missionary. I rely on the Savior in all that I do, and I try to help others along the way. As I act on my beliefs and choose the right, I am blessed with an eternal perspective.
