Hi I'm Mary Ann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, grandmother, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, and wife. I love to garden, read, get together with friends, play with my granddaughter, make favorite foods for my family, volunteer in our community garden, and spend time with my husband. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoy the peace and understanding it gives me in my life. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has always been a part of my life. Before I was married, my family endured many of the trials of life: illness, financial difficulties, the death of my father, and other stressful circumstances. The gospel was our strength through all of these difficulties and continues to be the foundation of my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me look at life's struggles and joys with an eternal perspective. It stresses, and holds in the highest regard, the importance of strong families, service and kindness to others, and the great worth of every soul. The gospel helps me understand how much my Heavenly Father and Jesus love me which gives me purpose and assurance that they will help me. The Church of Jesus Christ offers me truth, peace, and direction as I study the scriptures (the Bible and the Book of Mormon), seek personal revelation, and try to live worthy of the Spirit to direct me. I cannot imagine living my life without these great truths.

How I live my faith

Since God has given me this great blessing of peace and happiness, I too want to give and share His message with others. I accept callings (assignments) from our church leaders to teach, lead, and serve where I'm needed. Along with my church service, I enjoy volunteer work in our community. I try to be prayerful and study the scriptures as I begin and end each day as well as give thanks during the day for the blessings that come my way. Christ was our greatest example of how to live, love, and be close to God. Even though I am very imperfect, I strive to follow my Savior's example of kindness and charity. I am so grateful for Christ's suffering that made it possible for me to repent when I stray. How blessed we are to have knowledge of the example and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
