Hi I'm Brother Steve!

I'm a Mormon. And want to share my excitement with others!

About Me

I am a soldier of Christ. I have been blessed as a Nurse and a Pilot. I enjoy playing music, whether on the guitar, or on the piano, my patients and I enjoy the precious gift of life. I am a Model railroad enthusiast, enjoy helping the missionaries, and try to inspire and serve those i come in contact with. I am a father, grandfather, a son. a brother and an uncle. I am a Priesthood holder. I have a couple literary works in progress, based on my experiences with God, and shared experiences from the missionaries. I INVITE all to listen to their amazing stories, and invite them into your homes at every opportunity. Tehy are amazing young men and women serving the Lord !

Why I am a Mormon

I have many testimonies, both before, and after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At my Baptism, i shared with the branch i was in, that What an amazing group of true believers in Christ. I would come to church, go to the meetings, and feel excited about this wonderful spirit, that would envelope all in his presence. The first hour, was like most Christian churches, the Sacrament. The second hour we would learn Gospel Principles, and in the third hour, we would have our Elders' men group, and the women would have their Relief Society meetings, the womens' group of the church if you will, vital in support of those matriarch needs of the church and community. We would not only talk about what people in the community needed, but would then organize and act to meet those needs. What a truly Christian Church of people to put his Love into action for their fellow man, here upon the Earth. While we are in the service of others, we are serving him, that sent us. Our heavenly father loves us, and wants us all to return home. When the missionaries found me, it was like a father calling out to his children, "Where are you going, What are you doing?" Life had been in a downward spiral, but as I grew in the Gospel, read the Book of Mormon God put breath into my life! As my faith grew, many things changed. I got a new job, I had my choice of vehicles, and the people around me were true friends. Titheing is a blessing, it allowed me to put my faith in the heavenly father, as i helped those around me, he opened those windows of blessings, I could never repay. With God all things are possible, and he wants to show us his love. I wish my happiness for all those that can hear, or be within reach of, until every kindred, tongue and peoples know that our Heavenly Father Loves us and wants us to return home.

How I live my faith

When the missionaries asked me to read the Book of Mormon, I thought, I'm not a very good reader. I start to read a book, then put it down for long stretches of time to months, before i finish it. As I read the Book of Mormon, something inside me was hungry for what the message was in those precious pages. The plain and precious that was missing during my education of heaven growing up. It only made sense and the Holy Spirit confirmed it to me, that this was a true restoration of his church here upon the Earth, a gift given to all those that would listen. Joseph Smith Jr, a Prophet, a spokesman, a beacon of hope in our time that Heavenly Father hadn't forgotten his creations, and offered a plan of salvation, a way for us to return home to him after this time of probation. My first calling in the Church was that of a Greeter. I guess, one wouldn't think much of it, but in reality, greeting others with a smile and a handshake inviting them into Church, making that outreach of a pleasant beginning of the day can make a difference. I have a testimony of that in my own experience and the difference it makes in the lives of my patients, hat may not have that recognition from anyone else in their day to acknowledge our human experience. I enjoy helping my fathers servants, the missionaries, and am mindful that every memeber is a Missionary. I enjoy sharing talking about my Heavenly Father when and where ever possible.
