Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the church in Spokane Washington, but previous to that, I had been to about a year and a half of college. I love math so I'm planning on majoring in statistics and want to become an actuary. I worked at a restaraunt for a year and because of that, I like to cook. On my free time, I love to play video games. I love photography, on my free days I enjoy going out hiking into the mountains and take stock of all the beauty around me and record it. Music is one of my passions. either playing it, singing it, or just listening to it, music is a great expression of the soul and can tell a lot about who you are.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it has given me purpose in my life. The gospel has given me added strength when the time comes to make decisions. I can think of a few specific times when I was faced with a decision that would have altered my life in a very real and drastic way. Because of my faith in Jesus Christ I have been able to make the right decisions when they count. I don't want to think about where I would be without the Church of Jesus Christ in my life. Not that I think that I would be in a terrible place without it, but I wouldn't be where I am right now, and right now, I'm happy. I feel we are all here for a reason and that reason is to be happy. I get such great comfort whenever I read in my scriptures and go to church. I love to be able to go to church and renew the sacred covenants or promises I made to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when I was baptized. My faith in Jesus Christ gives me reason to hope in this life where hope and happiness can sometimes seem so distant.

How I live my faith

I just try to be the best me that I can. I know that I'm not perfect and I will always make mistakes. But I always hope that I will be able to learn from those mistakes and grow to be a better person each day. There's a popular LDS hymn titled "Have I Done Any Good In The World Today". I feel that statement should be ingrained in all of us, and that we should all be looking for opportunities to do good and help out those who are around us, no matter who they are. Like I said before, I'm not perfect, but I look for new things in my life that I can improve on to help me become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.
