Hi I'm Becky

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Returned missionary who served in the Florida Ft. Lauderdale mission. I loved it! It is something that has changed me into a better person. I enjoy playing piano and guitar. I love to sing. I'm a Personal Support Worker (CNA). I love to be with my friends and family. I'm the oldest of 6 children. My younger Brother and Sisters are so awesome! I enjoy traveling and being outdoors. I am Canadian.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. But just like anyone else I had to learn if these things were true. I have come to know that through prayer and studying the scriptures. It has brought so much joy knowing that I have a Saviour who loves me. I have seen how the Gospel of Jesus Christ - his teachings- has blessed many peoples lifes, especially mine and my family. I am grateful to know that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the person I think God and His Son, Jesus Christ, want me to be. Some of those ways is by looking for opportunities to be a help to someone. Currently I am teaching my peers about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's been a fun journey and I know there is so much more ahead of me.

What is faith?

Faith is something hoped for but can't been seen. Faith is like a sun rise. Every Morning we have Faith that the Sun will come up and Light the Day for us. To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

I have seen many peoples Faith increase through 3 simple things: 1) Study of the Scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon). Through reading what we are to do we can feel that Jesus is the Christ and that what these prophets have written are true. 2) Pray. yes it is that simple. Pray to know if we have a Heavenly Father who love us and if Jesus is our Saviour. You can also pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true. Pray is simple. It's not memorized but it comes from the heart. We start by addressing our Heavenly Father, (eg. Dear Heavenly Father,) then we thank Him for the things we are grateful for. We ask him for help or to know if something is true and we end "In the name of Jesis Christ. Amen." 3)Going to church. It is easy to say you believe in Jesus Christ, but I know as you experience The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints you can feel something special there. I know I did. I also know that Heavenly Father Love us all equally. He wants to tell you. Ask and Study these things out, you will recieve an answer. It really is that simple. Heavenly Father loves you, just like he loves me. I recieved an answer, so can you. Show more Show less
