Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a Martial Artist. I'm a wife and mother. I'm a thyroid cancer survivor. I love to teach and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 3 energetic and independent children and the wife to a hard-working husband. I am a thyroid cancer survivor and I received my bachelor's degree in the family sciences and I love learning and teaching about marriage and the family. I love baking, working outdoors, reading, exercising and listening to music--in fact, I can't get much done without music in the background! I earned my 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do in October 2013. I love all things tropical and green and I believe that flip flops are year-round footwear! I love to travel and had the opportunity to go to Europe last year.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I find great strength daily in knowing that the Lord knows me and loves me--that He is aware of my personal struggles and trials and is always there beside me to help me through. My testimony was strengthened when I was 13 and my 9-mo. old nephew died in a portable crib accident. I couldn't comprehend why the Lord would inflict our family with this hardship. After many hours on my knees in prayer and studying my scriptures, I began to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Because of the Atonement, the Savior knows every pain and heartache we experience and I knew that He knew my pain and I was not alone. Even though the death of my nephew was a tragedy, the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Atonement gave us great strength in knowing that we could be an eternal family again. I know that I am a daughter of God and that I have a purpose on this earth. The Book of Mormon teaches me how to be more Christ-like and how to come to Him. I know that Joseph Smith restored the same church that Christ established during His ministry to the earth again in these latter-days. I know that Christ died for me and for every person that ever was, is, and ever will be on the earth. I know that families can be together forever and we can return to live with our Father in Heaven as we make and keep sacred covenants on this earth. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I used to teach early-morning seminary to high school students. That means that I had to wake up at 5:15 a.m. every morning to make it to the church building by 6:00 a.m. to teach the youth the doctrines in the scriptures. Each year the youth study a different book of scripture. I also recently had the privilege of working with the young women in our ward. I truly love reading and teaching the scriptures and learning as I study. I am constantly amazed at the youth and the challenge they are faced with daily to choose the right. I teach my children the gospel and strive to allow them to learn through personal experiences. I love when I have the opportunity to share the gospel with others around me. Last year I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and that was a huge testimony-building trial. I learned through that trial that The Lord truly knows me and loves me and that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I am never alone and that I can be healed and comforted. I was able to be an example of strength and faith to my children and those around me. Even though I was struggling emotionally and physically, I was strengthened by the power and love of Jesus Christ.
