Hi I'm Natahli

I grew up in Hawaii as a member of the church. Now I am a missionary in the great Florida, Ft. Lauderdale Mission! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 girls. I was born and raised in Hawaii as a member of the church. When I was14, my family moved to Samoa where we lived for 2 years. Yes, island girl all the way! One of my biggest hobbies is reading. I LOVE to read. I remember when I was younger my parents would ground me from reading because I wouldn't do my homework. :) I also love swimming, hiking, camping, singing, hula (hawaiian dance) and FOOD!!! I went to a BYU-H for 3 years and am a math major hoping to one day be a teacher. A year ago I decided to take a little break from school so that I could serve a mission. I was called to serve in the great Florida, Ft Lauderdale Mission and am currently here!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know that it is true. When I was in high school my family moved to Samoa and we went to a private Baptist school because the curriculum was better. We had Bible study and chapel twice a week. It was there that the beginning of my own testimony started. I was hearing beliefs that I had never heard before and didn't know what was true. Eventually, after much pondering and prayer, I felt that the truth was with what I had already known. Since then my testimony has grown stronger and stronger. In fact, a few months ago, while serving a mission here in Florida, I was on the phone with a man that was wanting to meet with us. He told me of how he felt bad that I believed what I did and wanted to present me with information that would probably get me to question everything that I believed. He was very nice about it but as we were talking on the phone I thought to myself, "If presented with any of this info, would my testimony be affected?" I paused for a moment and didn't really feel anything but calm. I realized, no, my testimony would be just fine because I knew that my answer had come from God, not from man. How can you deny that? I nicely ended the conversation, sad that he wouldnt listen but peaceful about where I stood. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true! That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith now as a full time missionary and representative of the Lord. I am serving a mission in Florida and preaching the restored gospel to the people I meet. It is so much fun and such a strengthening experience. Before I can on a mission I also played the piano for the childrens class. It was so fun to see the strength of their spirits. The know so much more than the adults sometimes :)
