Hi I'm Taylor

I'm from Southern California. I love playing sports, and anything else that will get me out of my house. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Southern California my whole life. I have a Mom, Dad, and two younger brothers. I also have a cat and a dog. I love playing and watching sports, particularly basketball. I love heavy metal in all shapes and sizes. In college I am studying Social Studies Education in order to become a high school Social Studies teacher. I primarily want to teach History, but Geography and Government interest me as well. I am currently serving a mission in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission. I've learned many things about myself and the gospel since I've been out here. I've experienced the joy of guiding others to change their lives by entering into the covenant of baptism.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mom, my younger brother and I found the LDS Church shortly after we moved to Temecula. We had visited different churches before then, but this church is the only one that seemed right. We've been in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ever since. I'm very grateful to have been raised in The Church from a very young age. It has taught me many things and given me many opportunities. I love the people in this church. They are always supportive and quick to help out. Another thing I love is that there are always answers to my questions in this church. Many of those answers can be found in the Book of Mormon. No matter where you go throughout the world, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the exact same in every way. I know that Christ Himself is at the head of this church. I know that the priesthood has been restored to the Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that we have a prophet on the Earth today named Thomas S. Monson, who has been called of God to guide and direct The Church through divine revelation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to apply the Atonement of Jesus Christ into my life. We apply His Atonement into our lives by demonstrating faith in Him through daily repentance and making or renewing sacred covenants. I renew the covenant I made at my baptism when I partake of the Sacrament weekly. It helps me to remember the sacrifice that Christ made for all of us. Most importantly, I can recommit myself each week to follow His example and strive to be like Him. Only by doing these things throughout our lives can we return to live with God and receive Exaltation.
