Hi I'm Diana

I have 3 beautiful kids.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mom of 3 kids. I love spending time with my husband and family. I am currently expecting my 4th child. At our normal 20 week ultrasound we found out that our baby girl has Spina Bifida. Spina Bifida occurs when the spine fails to close early on in development. Her defect myelomeningocele is the most severe. Where a portion of the spinal cord comes through the opening in the back. In April 2012 we were able to meet with a highly trained team of doctors at Vanderbilt in Nashville Tennessee, and on April 24th they performed fetal surgery to repair the defect on the babies back. Following surgery I was placed on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy, 13 weeks. Because of the love and support of my family, friends, neighbors and ward members my children, husband and I have been cared for for the last 12 weeks and I am scheduled to deliver this baby at 37 weeks. Our baby may still need a shunt placement in her lifetime, she may need assistance to walk, we don't know what specific challenges lie ahead for her. We do know she will be in a world filled with people who love her and care for her.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church my whole life, I love the balance and strength the gospel brings to my daily life. I can feel my Heavenly Father's guidance and direction each day. With out it I would be lost as a mother. At the end of long hard days I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and applauds the works I am doing to raise his Children.

How I live my faith

I love working with the children in our church, I lean new ways to teach and uplift them. I am also uplifted by them in their sweet faith in Jesus Christ. I love the other women in the church I get to associate with their examples of strength and conviction buoy me up and give me hope. In the last few months I have had to rely on my prayer and faith in Jesus Christ. I have seen miracles in my life each and every week as I have gone through this trial. My faith has been strengthened in the prayers of my own children as they offer daily prayers for their baby sister and I. I do not doubt that each miracle has been a direct result of the prayers, service and love offered by those around me.
