Hi I'm Evan

I'm 6' 6" tall, but people look up to me for more than one reason. Because I'm a Mormon, and a disciple of Jesus Christ!

About Me

I am a devoted husband and father of two children. Most of my free time is with them, reading, playing. I enjoy singing, basketball, hiking, etc.. I work as an Health Insurance Advisor for retirees.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known that there was an architect to this universe. From a young age, I was amazed with the delicate balance that keeps everything ideal for us to exist on this planet. There is no way that everything works the way it does by some random chance. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints answers the questions of, where we came from? Why we are here? And where we are going? The reason why I'm a Mormon is because I have learned the answers to these questions with the knowledge that the fullness of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. I have a Father/Creator who loves me, and has provided for me everything. We lived with Him before we were born. He sent us here to learn to choose good over evil. He knew we would make mistakes, so he provided a Savior Jesus Christ. Through the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our mistakes, and will be resurrected some day. Eliminating both obstacles to us returning to live with our Father in Heaven. As an eternal family unit, experiencing unlimited joy, receiving all that The Father has. What a wonderful plan of happiness! This message gives me peace, joy, guidance, and contentment throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I am a good neighbor. I help with service projects. I visit at least once a month with families in my neighborhood to pray and read the Holy Scriptures with them, or to just listen to how they are feeling. If they are sick, I call on the powers of Heaven to heal them. When someone moves in or out of the neighborhood I help with the loading or unloading of the moving truck. I bring food over when they are too tired, sick, or busy to cook for themselves. At weekly church meetings, I teach the youth Sunday School classes. I visit the elderly, the widowed, and the orphans. If you have ever met a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before, you know that we observe a code of health, called The Word of Wisdom. I do not drink alcohol, coffee, tea, or use tobacco, or any addictive drugs
