Hi I'm Brennan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school, and now I'm ready for what's next. I've been accepted to Brigham Young University, but I'm deferring my enrollment so that I can go on a mission for the church. I'm working full time at an auto body shop, and it's my first time going full-time, so I'm pretty beat, but I want to earn and save as much money as I can to pay for my mission and college. I also love sports, any kind really. I'm really getting into ping pong lately and thats a blast playing with all of my friends. Music is also a huge part of who I am. I play about 5-6 instruments, and I also love to sing. I've been in numerous choirs and ensembles, as well as my high school band. This past marching band season, since I just graduated, I had the opportunity to be on the percussion staff because I used to be on the drumline. I was also on the professional drumline for the NBA Milwaukee Bucks. That's a little bit about me :)

Why I am a Mormon

I guess my membership in this church started because of my parents; because I was born into the church, but there are many reasons that I stay in this church. First off, I love my family. They are probably the main reason that the church means so much to me. Families are essential in our journey to eternal life, and I am so glad that our family stands together in faith. Other members of the church can feel like family, too, because we are all united in the the gospel of Jesus Christ through His spirit. I also have a strong belief in the Book of Mormon. This book is so helpful in my everyday life because it helps me stay on the right path. The lessons taught in the Book of Mormon are comparable to the Bible's teachings, and that is very comforting to know that other people have gone through what I have, and have gotten through it with God's grace. When I read it, the spirit also testifies to me that it is true and that the church is as well. These are just a few examples, but I can truly say that I am the most happy when I feel the closest to Heavenly Father, and that is when I have these things, keep the commandments, and communicate with Him (pray).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to those around me. I participate in society just like any other normal person, but I don't sacrifice my own personal standards for things that are "acceptable" or "popular" in society, media, or fashion. We like to say: Be IN the World, not OF the World. I also like serving others. I grew a passion for service in the Boy Scouts, and it has helped me be more empathetic and have a love for everyone. I believe that will help me on my mission as i go to serve people in the area the Lord wants me to go.
