Hi I'm Julie

I am a wife, mom and Nana. I was a school counselor. I have 5 children & 16 grandchildren. I live in Arizona and am a Mormon.

About Me

Many things have shaped my life and contributed to the person who I am today. Being married to a good man who has and lives strong family values is so important to me. I love adventure and travel, and I love sharing good times with my children, their spouses and 16 wonderful and unique grandchildren. My friends mean alot to me....they are people who I look up to and learn from. I love foreign people and people in general. I guess you could say that people are one of my hobbies. I love to talk to people and make friends out of strangers. I have loved working with young people of all types in my work as an elementary and high school counselor. My latest learning frontier is teaching English in adult education to foreign adults. Going to work was like traveling around the world everyday and learning how similar all of the citizens of this great world are. Recently, I am helping care for my 100 year old Mother. I learn lots from her about being cheerful, keeping a positive attitude and enduring gracefully to the end. My life is not without challenges, but basically a good one, and I am grateful each day to live in this beautiful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. My grandparents sacrificed to cross the plains as pioneers seeking a place where they could embrace their religion fully. I am grateful for this heritage. I love the Gospel because it helps me to know that I am never alone. I know that Jesus Christ is the God of this world and that He knows me and helps me make decisions. He inspires me through the Holy Ghost to do the things that I do. I know that I need to be obedient to His commandments to be entitled to this gift , but I have learned to recognize His spirit and Itry to have the courage to act on it. I am grateful for a Prophet on earth today who counsels us to do what is right. Being a Mormon has meant a great deal to me. I can't imagine trying to raise 5 children without the help and support of other members of the Church who helped lead and teach our children correct principles. It has been great to watch them, with their own children to continue this legacy of learning correct principles that lead to happy lives. It is great to be a Mormon . I know I have a plan for my life. I know that if I live a good life and obey the principles and ordinaces of the Gospel I can lhave an eternal family and live with Heavenly Father someday .

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to my children and grandchildren. I try to serve others and be friendly to everyone. I try to always have a calling in the Church...whether it be a humble one, like being in charge of cleaning the Church or being a leader of women. I try and have a realtionship with my Heavenly Father through daily prayer. I know I am doing the right thing when I feel His spirit in my life and recognize the tender mercies on a daily basis that I see as blessings from a kind Heavenly Father.
