About Me

I was born in Rockhill, South Carolina but grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I have 2 older sisters and 1 older brother. When I was 12 years old my Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and he passed away when I was 19. My Mom is one of my best friends and I love her so much and I do not think I could have ask for a better Mom. When I was in middle school my sister and I were diagnosed with a rare medical condition called Homocystinuria in which my body does not break down Protein and unfortunitly there is no cure for this. I am required to take medicine and try to stay on a low protein diet. I graduated from College with my degree in Modern Language and Culture with a concentration in Spanish. I love the Spanish Language and love everything about the hispanic and latino cultures. I had the opportunity to study in Chiapas, Mexico. My last semester of College I went to Trujillo, Peru as a volunteer in an orphanage and recieve an internship credit for my time. I love to travel. I love to learn about other cultures, religions, places in the world, and people. I know that through befriending people from different cultures, or religions I have learned so much. I have come to realize what is most important for me by knowing people and interacting with them. I enjoy helping people and enjoying making other people happy. I love to laugh and I love to make other people laugh. I work in customer service at a grocery store but I hope to find a job to use my degree someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I have been my whole life. My parents were both converts to the church and I am thankful that they raised me so that I could gain the personal testimony of the church that I have. I am Mormon because I know in my heart that the things in which I have been taught are true. In order for one to understand why I am Mormon I feel that it is best that I share my testimony of the things I know to be real and true. I know that the Book of Mormon truely is another testament of Jesus Christ and that by reading it and studying it one can draw closer to the Savior. I know that the Bible is also the word of God and I have found confort in my life through its messages. I know that Gods words do not cease. I know that Prayers are answered and that we can talk to our loving Heavenly Father in prayer for help, strength, and about our concerns. I know that families are and can be forever and that death is not the end. I know that hardships, tests, and struggles are put in front of us for a reason. I know that these things are put in front of us to help us be stronger and that we can be blessed despite how hard they may all seem. I know that as we trust in God and in the Savior through times of difficulty that one can see the light at the end of the tunnel and draw closer to them.I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he died for all the sins of the world. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to be able to return to live with him someday and that he loves each and everyone of us no matter our circumstances. I am Mormon because I have felt the love of Jesus Christ for me personally in my life. I have seen my prayers answered according to my faith, and I have been blessed with hardtimes that have made me stronger.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by living like I believe. I live my faith by talking to those around me and answering the questions I do know about the Church. I live my Faith by going to church every Sunday. I live my faith in showing respect to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by keeping the commandments that I have been taught at church and home in which I believe to be true and important for my life. I live my Faith by showing my love for my family and friends.
