Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Northern Minnesota. I am a wife and mother of three beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and good friends. I am a game nerd and love movies at home. I love finding old furniture and scraps, and creating something beautiful and fun. I have a wonderful, loving, patient husband and three beautiful, healthy children. I went to college for 4 1/2 years and ended up with an associates degree and many credits to many different majors. Eventually, I will go back and finally finish because education is important to me. My husband just graduated from college so we were "financially challenged" for about 8 years. I grew in many ways through those 8 years. I discovered that family is crucial to this life and God has given us families to help, support and lift each other.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts, so I grew up in the church. I also knew in my heart it was true, but finally in high school I wanted to really know for myself. I got down on my knees and prayed fervently to know if this really was true and I got my answer. I always knew it was in my heart. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is the fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ. There have been many times in my life that could have brought me down or kept my down but I can pray to my Father in Heaven and know he is listening. That my Savior, Jesus Christ, knows what I am going through. He has felt every pain, every sorrow and I can lean on him. What a miracle it is that we have Prophets here on earth, who communicate with God. That we are able to receive personal revelation. I have had many amazing experiences that have drawn me closes to God and given me a more personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I wondered, asked God and now I know. This is true. There is no doubt in my mind.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my neighbors and in the church. I have had the opportunity to teach young children in our primary many times and have learned so much of the understanding of children. Also, strengthening my own testimony. I am currently working with young girls ages 8-11. We meet a couple times a month and work on a skill they would like to aquire, becoming good citizens and members of the church. Then a couple of times a year we invite the parents to see all their children have accomplished. This calling not only helps us to work on bettering or talents and ablilities the Lord has blessed us with, but also gaining a closer relationship with Him and our families.
