Hi I'm Hunter

I go to school at Athens Academy. I think music makes everything better. I am an athlete with a passion for soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, my name is Elder Hunter McWilliams. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Arizona Tucson mission. I am blessed to have been raised in the south in the great state of Georgia. I have many interests and hobbies including essentially any activity with a ball, photography, and scuba diving. I am the only boy in my family stuck in the middle between an older and a younger sister and two loving parents. I am so grateful for my family and love them with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the LDS Church, I do not have an amazing miracle conversion story. However, I do have loving parents who have taught me what is right and wrong. They are great and they have taught me to stay close to the church. Although this was helpful, I have had to learn to develop my own testimony of the gospel. I know what it is like to be the minority as a Mormon who was raised in the "Bible Belt" but by growing closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ, I have learned that it is blessing. Through my own personal experiences, I have come to know that Jesus Christ blesses those who accept him and obey his teachings. He loves everyone and wants us to return to him with all his heart. I have become closer to him throughout my life and I am so grateful I am able to give two years of my life serving him and the people in Tucson.

How I live my faith

It is easy to claim to be a Christian or that you love and follow Jesus, but I am always trying not just to talk the talk, but walk the walk. I love sharing my testimony with others and am always striving to be an example of Christ in the way that I live and the moral standards I uphold. Now, I realize that I am far from perfect in doing this, but the great thing is that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, my wrongs can be forgotten. I live my faith now as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints whose ultimate goal is to share this message with love to others and invite them to come unto Christ.
