Hi I'm Devin

I grew up in Virginia and want to be an aerospace engineer, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and going to college. My wife and I love the outdoors and being active. We don't have any kids, but are excited to have children when we feel the time is right. I enjoy playing games with family, watching movies, and playing sports. The most important thing in my life, is my family. I'm very close to them, and happy to know that I can be with them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has made me a happy person. Friends in school would often comment on my unusual happiness, or lack of anger or frustration towards others. It was because I had something in my life that couldn't be taken away, knowledge of God and a savior, Jesus Christ. I know this kind of knowledge comes from God himself, and through sincere prayer. God speaks to us today, and we can hear him if we're willing to listen. If we speak to God, he will speak back, maybe not vocally, or as soon as we would like, but he will answer prayers. I know this church is true, because God answered my prayers.

How I live my faith

I'm involved with the Boy Scouts in my church. Scouting is a big part of the church, and I'm happy for the opportunity to teach young boys the same skills that I learned through scouting in the church. There are many similar values taught in the church and scouting, and I try to be an example of those values.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

ANYONE can be a member of the church. Only worthy male members of the church can have the priesthood, and you must be an active member to go into the temples. But anyone is welcome to visit our chapels and attend weekly services. Show more Show less
